Sully’s Rooftop is located on level 12 of Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel and is operated by KPAT Mooloolaba Operations Pty Ltd (ABN 83 664 591 833), referred to in this policy as “we”, “us” or “our”. We take your privacy seriously and handle your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect when you visit sullysrooftop.com.au, book a table, buy a gift card or send us an enquiry, how we track and use that information, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Your name, email address and phone number when you book a table, make a functions or events enquiry, buy a gift card or contact us.
- Booking details such as the date, time, number of guests, the occasion and any notes you add, including dietary requirements or allergies you choose to tell us about so our kitchen can look after you.
- Functions and events details such as your company name, event type, preferred date, guest numbers, start and finish times and anything else you tell us about your event.
- Gift card details such as the purchaser’s and recipient’s names, email addresses and any message you add.
- Anything you send us by email, phone or social media.
Information collected automatically
- How you use our website, such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the links you click and the website or ad that brought you here.
- Device and browser details, your IP address and your approximate location (city or region, never your exact address).
- Whether you open or click the emails we send you.
Payment details
When a booking requires a credit card to hold your table, or when you buy a gift card, your card details are entered directly into the secure payment systems of our booking and gift card providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
How we track website activity
Our website uses cookies, pixels and similar technologies, which are small pieces of code or data stored in your browser. We use them for the following purposes.
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager help us understand how many people visit the site, which pages are most popular and where our visitors come from, so we can keep improving the website.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) tells us when someone who has seen or clicked one of our ads goes on to visit the site or take an action such as starting a booking or sending an enquiry. It also allows us to show Sully’s Rooftop ads to people who have visited our website, and to measure whether those ads are working.
- Essential website cookies keep the site secure, fast and working properly.
These tools collect information about your visit in a way that does not usually identify you by name. Where Meta matches website activity to a Facebook or Instagram account, this is done by Meta under its own privacy policy.

- To respond to functions and events enquiries, send quotes and plan your event.
- To process and deliver gift cards.

- To send you news, events and offers from Sully’s Rooftop and Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel, but only if you have agreed to receive them.
- To understand how our website and advertising are performing and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site.
- To answer your questions, handle feedback and improve our venue and service.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as responsible service of alcohol and record keeping requirements.

- Zen Global, which runs our online gift card store.

- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising and ad measurement.
- Our website hosting and maintenance providers.
- Avani Hotels & Resorts and Minor Hotels, where this is needed to look after a booking that includes the hotel.
- Government bodies, regulators or law enforcement where we are required or permitted to by law.
Overseas storage
Some of the providers listed above store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information to a standard consistent with Australian privacy law.
Your choices
